Lovely Willy Scheidegger Princess two-tone typewriter in dark grey and beige - Matic with cream keys, spacer and carriage and a touch of red tab. Made by Keller & Knappich in West Germany in the 1960s for the Swiss typing school. Willy Scheldegger. When you enrolled in a typing course, you had to buy one of these machines. The machine has the Scheidegger logo on the front left and the manufacturer's details on the back. This model has a standard ‘elite’ font size with 11 letters per inch. This model has an enamelled metal case that is generally in good condition, but has slight marks and wear in places. Some of the coloured key covers at the top also show signs of wear and the ribbon underneath has remnants of the originally worn lining. The typewriter measures 30 cm by 30 cm and 8 cm high, making it a very compact portable typewriter. It comes with an elegant beige vinyl case that shows some minor signs of wear. The lock and handle work well. It sits on the plinth and must be held on the plinth to work properly.
