Item description
Made in Italy by Aldo Londi for Bitossi and Ceramiche Paoli, 1960s. This is a beautiful mid-century Italian vase with a lid by the famous designer Aldo Londi for Ceramiche Paoli in Montelupo Fiorentino Italy. Best known for his distinct studio pottery designs for Bitossi, he also designed a few pieces for other ceramic workshops like Ceramiche Bruno Paoli from the same Italian village near Florence in Tuscany. For this series - called Sahara - he used the intricate and rich patterns he was used to work with at Bitossi, but added some other colors to create a unique blend of earthy browns and vibrant orange, highlighted by intricate patterns that provide texture and depth. Renowned for their high-quality craftsmanship, Bitossi's style is evident in this piece's meticulous detailing and elegant form. It is a vintage item, therefore it might show slight traces of use, but it can be considered as in excellent original condition and ready to become a piece in a home. Measures: Diameter: 18 cm Height 24 cm.
