Wrought iron candle holder in Brutalist style, 1970s
A unique metal candle holder from Poland from the late 70s or early 80s, which perfectly reflects the character of this period. Made in a style inspired by brutalism and modernism, it features a geometric and raw design. Three candle tips are placed at different heights, which creates a dynamic, sculptural shape and attracts attention. The characteristic triangular legs with perforations of different sizes underline the industrial style, typical of Polish design of those years. The candlestick is an example of Polish artistic craftsmanship of this period, in which designs combining simplicity and distinctive geometric character were popular. It may have been created in one of the Polish craft cooperatives, such as Cepelia, which specializes in the production of metal decorations for both the domestic market and export.
