This exceptional dining set, designed by Mária Szedleczky in 1978 in Budapest, is a rare example of Hungarian design heritage. A student of the celebrated Gyula Kaesz, Szedleczky’s work combines sculptural forms with a distinct sense of craftsmanship.
Handcrafted from solid larch wood (vörösfenyő), the set includes a round dining table and four unique chairs with circular cut-out motifs and rounded backrests. The design balances organic curves and bold geometric details, creating a striking yet inviting presence.
Each piece is signed by the designer, confirming authenticity and adding to the collectible value of the set.
The chairs feature new Italian upholstery, carefully selected to complement the warmth of the wood. The set has undergone partial restoration, preserving its original character while enhancing comfort and functionality.
