Bottle in glass by Gio Ponti for Venini, 1950s

Bottle made with the incalal technique, a glass technique that allows you to create objects made up of distinct parts combined with each other hot. In 1950 Gio Ponti designed these bottles for Venini, inspired by the women painted by Massimo Campigli. The Milanese architect thus had the opportunity to develop a synthesis between art and crafts thanks to the collaboration with the historic Fornace of Murano. The bottles were presented at the "Italian Design" exhibition between 1950 and 1953 in the United States, enjoying great success.
