Item description
Beautiful and elegant Small Corner cabinet signed MORISON & CO. EDINBURGH and numbered A3590. It is precisely this number that allows to date it around 1880. Made of solid mahogany with precious wood fillets and bronze, it has the low panel of the door inlaid with floral motifs. The 2/3 of the door is in glass (blown) with the interior mirror lining and the 3 shelves one in wood and two in glass, which can be moved. The lock (also signed) and the key are original like all the Bronzes with which it is richly dressed, including the gallery that encloses the beautiful Griotte Rouge marble of the floor that is supported. The conditions of conservation are excellent with some signs of the time, the only thing to review is the border under the floor, which is to be adjusted.
