Item description
Stunning and very rare Sideboard designed by Vittorio Dassi between the 1940s and 1950s, characterized by a demilune shape case having top and doors covered in parchment, with the central panels finished with a superb inlay decoration of a still-life scene, attributable to Giovanni Gariboldi. The internal compartments are all equipped with maple shelves, the one on the left opening to reveal three drawers. This Sideboard is in its original state, coming from a Sicilian villa in Palermo, in good conditions of the period as well as the images show, with slight signs of wear consistenti with age and gentle use. We have cleaned the parchment paper and refinished wooden surfaces and now it's ready to use. On sale in another listing also the dining Table with parchment table top, illustrated in: "Il mobile italiano degli anni Quaranta e Cinquanta" by Irene de Guttry and Maria Paola Maino Editori Laterza 1992, p. 55
