Item description

Ceiling/wall lamp with metal structure and blue and white glass elements, one light point only. Veca label from the 1960s production. Veca is an Italian company that has been transforming crystal and plastic into a functional design for many years. The ceiling light was designed for Veca by Fontana Arte, another prestigious Italian company founded in Milan in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Giò Ponti and specialized in glass processing and furnishing accessories. Is known for the design of lighting equipment, becoming over the years an important name for Italian design. This ceiling light, as well as an object of furniture, is an example of the style. Elegant, rigorous, and functional that manages to create warm, lunar, shaded, and enveloping atmospheres, giving new light even in the eyes of those who look at it. It was made between 1964 and 1968. The electrical system is original at that time, so it is very easy to redo it because it is necessary to replace only two wires. There are some stains under the blue glass, due to use and time (see photo).
