Splendid 18th-Century Piedmontese Mirror : A refined and spectacular neoclassical mirror, made in Piedmont in the late 18th century. The carved and gilded wooden frame features a typical, curved line with a lowered arched upper profile, a stylistic hallmark of 18th-century Savoy cabinetmaking. The frame is embellished with a refined perimeter groove covered with shaped mirror strips, creating a sophisticated interplay of reflections and depth, framed by rich geometric motifs, pods, and leafy reserves. The upper section is dominated by a sumptuous openwork and openwork cornice with leafy scrolls, ribbon elements, and a central floral crowning with a striking vertical thrust. The base, mirrored in its rich carvings, rests on scroll-shaped uprights that lend stability and grace to the entire composition. Original mercury mirror. Dimensions: 192 x 90 cm.
