Item description
Prestigious gilded wrought iron console table, conceived and designed by the famous designer Pier Luigi Colli, made between 1950 and 1953 by Crystal Art, an old Turin company founded in 1944. Thick iron bars have been used in the console, hammered, then bent and welded together and finished with decorations following the elaborate design of the artist Pier Luigi Colli, finally, the whole has been subjected to strong gilding to give preciousness and brightness to the iron. To complete aesthetically such an aggressive realization, the designer has made the top with a free-form hammered crystal. The surface of the iron was finely decorated with carvings and arabesques under the careful and scrupulous direction of Colli himself and the result was of strong decorative impact.
