Rare travel furniture used by Japanese nobility. It comes from the family of Daimyo Hana-Bishi, whose coat of arms is shown on the wrought iron fittings. This family, originally from Ka-i, was founded by Mitsu Yuki in 1180 and descended from the Minamoto family, the most illustrious in Japan, whose history dates back to the year 814, when Emperor Saga gave his son the name Minamoto.
