Bowl in "submerged bubble" glass, design by Carlo Scarpa, production 1930s, Venini Murano (acid-etched signature visible in photo n.3). It is engraved with the Savoia nautical knot (with traces of gilding) or "love knot", which could be interpreted as a romantic message or as the symbol of the Trieste-based Cosulich Navigation Company, for which the bowl may have been commissioned.
