Italian Midcentury Teak Wood Sideboard and Bookcase by Vittorio Dassi, 1950s

Italian Midcentury Teak Wood Sideboard and Bookcase by Vittorio Dassi, 1950s 1074500

Item description

All the objects designed and made by Vittorio Dassi are elegant and fascinating, and this teak wood collection is also to be added to his great successes. For your consideration this set consists of two very representative elements of this line of furniture: the sideboard accompanied by the freestanding bookcase (#2 modules), both with secretaire and in excellent condition of the time. This collection was so well designed by Dassi in the 50s, with the collaboration of Edmondo Palutari, one of the main interior designers of Dassi Mobili Moderni (DMM). DMM immediately achieved a great success in sales on the market, starting from the 50s, thanks to the aesthetic factor combined with fine materials such as hot teak, but decisive was the functional system of assembly of the libraries, which could be mounted without the use of tools, in the total absence of screws. A great "unique sales proposal" offered to customers, which is why they were considered among the most innovative bookshops of the time. On request, we can send you condition reports with additional photos.
