Item description
Armchair CARMINA design by Carlo Santi from 1975 by Arflex. High tailoring and craftsmanship for this timeless piece of furniture from the mid-1970s for Arflex. Design manufacture and 100 % Italian quality. Cult armchair with Minimal design with simple and functional lines, of high engineering, dating back to the mid 70's produced by Arflex designed and realized on Carlo Santi's drawing starting from November 1974. The supporting structure of the seat is made of solid Italian ash wood in natural finish. A padded fabric made of natural cotton with a red background and a geometric pattern with regular squares in a continuous white yarn knit is "hung" and fixed to the ash wood structure from which the wood grain can be seen. The fabric has a very soft upper cushion. High engineering and pure architecture for an apparently simple product with a great tradition of carpentry. The armchair is composed of only 12 pieces that are joined only by a tongue and groove joint. An artefact that reflects form and function.
