Camaleonda coloured sofa by Bellini for C&B Italia, 1970s

Item description

The Camaleonda sofa is a unique design piece that represents an Italian icon. The Camaleonda was first designed in 1970 by the magnificent Italian designer Mario Bellini, who created one of the first truly modular sofas, evolving into contemporary living rooms with a wonderfully soft wave. By hooking and unhooking seats, backrests and armrests, you can enjoy the luxury of changing your mind as often as you like, moving and redesigning the space. Mario Bellini's Camaleonda sofa is made up of 7 modular pieces, with the addition of two black glass resin containers, very useful for creating the desired composition, which bear the original C&B trademark under the base. The seats and backrests are emphasised by a punched effect, which gives them a unique and fascinating feature. The feet are made of black plastic and iron, giving the seat greater stability. The armchairs and ottoman of Mario Bellini's Camaleonda sofa are entirely made of a soft brown and pink velvet, an original fabric of the time. The Camaleonda sofa by Mario Bellini is in good and original vintage condition, scratches consistent with use and time. The sofa can be customised in any fabric and colour.
