Item description

Gilt bronze and porcelain clock from Sevres with paintings depicting sea gulf with figures. The clock has a circular gilt and chiseled bronze base with two putti seated on cornucopia. On the base rests a vase with porcelain bowl and lid and on the sides are goat's head-shaped loops of gilt and chiseled bronze. The statue at the top serves as a lid grip. In the center the clock display, protected by glassed lid, is surrounded by a painting within reserve. Five-flame bronze and porcelain candelabra echo the same decorations as the clock. Mechanism marked Chesnier à Paris. Under the clock cover hallmark of the Sevres manufactory. Item in good condition, shows minor signs of wear. Mechanism serviced May 2022.
