Item description
Beautiful pair of wooden coffee tables designed by Gio Ponti for the fine Italian manufacturer Fontana Arte in the 1950s. The tables are published. The supporting structure has a trapezoidal shape and is made of ebonised black wood. There are 4 supporting feet that deviate at the tip, while under the structure they merge, giving stability and elegance to the base. The top, on the other hand, is made of very beautiful mirrored glass, which gives elegance but at the same time eccentricity and extravagance. The glass is not straight, but curves gently, creating a point. Gio Ponti's two coffee tables are very special because, placed next to each other, they create an optical illusion, where one seems smaller than the other. Gio Ponti's coffee tables are ideal to furnish living rooms, but also important rooms or offices.
