Monticello Grappolo LS10 chandelier by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena, 1960s

Monticello Grappolo LS10 chandelier by Luigi Caccia Dominioni for Azucena, 1960s 1

Item description

These lamps are a variant of the 'LS10 Grappolo' model, named 'LS10 Monticello Grappolo', produced by Azucena in the late 1960s and exclusively designed by the famous architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni for the Club House of the Monticello Golf Club (Cassina Rizzardi - Como, Italy). The single pendant lamp consists of a spinning top-shaped body made of metallic dark grey aluminium and a 30 cm diameter globe made of transparent blown Murano glass. The 3 globes are hung, with hooks and intertwined ring chains, from a 3-arm iron spacer with an anemostat in the centre, all elements finished in burnished iron. The chains can be supplied in the following lengths: 45-60-115 cm. The lamps are in perfect working order and ready for use. It is always recommended to check the electrical system with the country's conformity regulations before use, as both the aluminium lamp bodies and the transparent globes are in good vintage condition, with slight signs of wear consistent with age and gentle use.
