Swivel for wrapped children, 19th century
SILVER Seller in Brindisi, Italy
Very rare walker for bandaged children. Until the end of World War II, all babies were wrapped in swaddling clothes. The bandage was considered indispensable to shape the baby's body and to bring back to normal the parts of the body that had deformed during childbirth. The babies were placed wrapped standing inside the space with their heads resting on the small circular headrest. The article still has its original wheels. Recovered in Italy and dating back to the 19th century.
