Item description
Spider floor lamp by Joe Colombo for Oluce, 1960s-1970s. Functioning; it has only a few signs on the paint. Designed by Joe Colombo in 1965, the Spider series is composed of a single lighting body, conceived as a response to a special horizontal spot bulb, and mounted, thanks to a melamine joint, on different supports, thus generating a "family" of table, floor, wall and ceiling lamps. In 1967 Spider won the first Compasso d'Oro for Oluce. In 1972 it was in New York for the exhibition Italy: the New Domestic Landscape. It is part of the permanent collections of the Milan Triennale, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Kunstmuseum in Düsseldorf, the Neue Sammlung Museum in Munich.
