Item description
A rare sculpture from the Brutalist period designed in the 1950s, of fine Italian manufacture. The sculpture rests on a very elegant cubic travertine base. Above this form is a brass label with the artist's signature. In the centre is the statue of what would appear to be a mythological bird or chimera. It is made entirely of bronze, perfectly in patina. In fact, one can clearly distinguish the arched, pointed beak typical of birds, the wings are also clearly visible, worked in such a way that the feathers are clearly visible. The tail is also made in the same way, so that the feathers are clearly visible. There are two legs and at the end are the legs, which have a human-like appearance. Above the neck is a very elegant feathered crest. The sculpture is very rare and elegant, suitable for environments rich in history.
