Item description
Timeless Murano glass lamp, designed by Carlo Nason for Mazzega in the 1960s. The two large opaline glass diffusers are connected at the centre with a steel plate joint. Nason created various models of this lamp, in this one the upper part has the typical mushroom shape, while the lower part is a cone with rounded edges. When only the lower part is switched on, the orange light diffuses a special luminous atmosphere. The lamp has two very different light points, so it can be switched on partially or fully as required, as it has two switches. The lamp was completely rewired as the original installation dated back to the 1960s and did not meet current safety standards. A special rubber protection has been applied to the inside of the lampshades so that they are not damaged when in contact with the steel plate and the joint screws. These protectors are removable. The bulbs are both E 27. The condition is excellent. Height 87 cm, base diameter 31 cm, lampshade diameter 33 cm.
