Item description
Incredible executive desk from the 1950s, a centrepiece of mid-century Italian design attributed to La Permanente Mobili Cantù. The structure is mahogany veneered wood finished with brass details. On both sides the compartments are fitted with locks and the opening of the doors reveals three drawers in curved plywood of great effect and design. In addition, underneath the desk top, on the right-hand side, there is a surprising retractable shelf, probably used to support the old-fashioned telephone model. The desk is in excellent condition for the time, as the pictures show, and is ready for use. All wooden surfaces have been renewed with a professional shellac polish.
