Ferrari 312 T4 quilted down jacket, 1970s

Rare windbreaker made of waterproof fabric, padded with polyamide and with a cotton lining. The polyamide padding was a technical choice because it has a relatively low specific weight, shock and wear resistance, electrical insulation, and resistance to solvents, oils, grease and fuels. Self-extinguishing. The inside of the jacket is completely detachable and can be used on its own as a windproof mid-season garment; it is also a finished garment and has pockets and a zip fastener. The Puffer Jacket 312 T4 was not just a simple padded jacket... it accompanied the racing team in the winter and kept the Ferrari 'men of the wall' warm. The year of production was 1979 and Ferrari returned to Formula 1 with the South African driver Jody Scheckter at the wheel of a Ferrari 312 T4... the other was driven by Gilles Villeneuve! Men's jacket: size "48" - US size "M". Shoulder: 52 cm, sleeve: 63 cm, chest: 58 cm, total length waistcoat: 70 cm.
