Eastern Ab-Jour made with the Plique à Jour technique.
Refined table lamp of Chinese origin from the early 1900s
Made with a difficult technique similar to the Cloisonné technique.
Unlike the Cloisonné, a metal background is not used, a frame with very small brass decorations is built which are then filled with layers with translucent glazes.
The Plique à Jour technique is very rare as it takes numerous months for the realization and a high rate of failure.
The elegance of this technique makes this rare and very particular lamp a collector's piece.
The lamp is in excellent conservative condition and has no defect
