Spanish painting dated 1901. Oil on canvas, first canvas, depicting a sea view, glimpse of a cliff with boats of excellent pictorial quality. Nicely sized painting with pleasant decor adorned with a non-coeval, sculpted and gilded wooden and plaster frame. Painting that develops horizontally, with an imposing cliff where the painter has created a pleasant play of light and shadow (see photo).
Two small sailing boats create a pleasant contrast with the grandeur of the mountain. Work signed and dated lower right G. Forteza 1901 (see photo) signature under study. Painting in beautiful patina, which has undergone conservative restoration and replacement of the frame. It shows some small signs of wear, overall in good condition. Light painting H 64 x W 104.5 cm.
