Ancient Italian painting from the 18th century. Work of the Venetian school in oil on canvas, glued on a panel currently being restored, depicting the biblical subject Moses saved from the waters. The book of Exodus tells that Moses' mother abandoned him in a basket on the Nile to save him from Pharaoh's persecution.
He was then found and adopted by the daughter of the Pharaoh himself, who went to the river to cool off together with her handmaids. Painting that develops horizontally, with good brightness and pleasant depth. Work that has undergone an intense conservative restoration intervention with application of the canvas on wooden tablet and color recovery in various points. Easily adaptable in size, work that shows signs of aging and restoration (see photo). In fair condition.
