Pair of french color lithographs, '800

Pair of french color lithographs depicting a little girl holding a dog around her neck and the other a little boy holding a cat in her arms. These are color lithographs, and the black background was made in watercolor to outline and enhance the two subjects, made between 1840 and 1866 by the workshop Regnier, Bettanier and Morlon, painters and engravers active in Paris specialized in engravings colored lithographs in graduated shades. Very important are the two beautiful and sober frames created specifically for the two lithographs, also made between 1840 and 1866 in solid wood and then finished with gold leaf. The lithographs show some age spots that can be justified by their years of life, while the frames have been restored despite the fact that in some parts the pure gold appears worn.
