The Vega lamp by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup is a classic example of 1960s Danish modernism, combining elegance of form with functionality of light The Vega lamp fits the aesthetics of Scandinavian modernism, with a strong emphasis on purity of form and functionality. Vega consists of two concentric, cylindrical shades of different diameters, Balanced minimalism - devoid of unnecessary ornamentation, it impresses with its proportions and play of light. Vega is designed to diffuse light in a soft and non-irritating way. The shades reflect the light internally, creating a light ring effect without direct glare. Ideal for hanging above a dining table or in a living room. Jo Hammerborg (1920-1982) was the chief designer of Fog & Mørup from 1957 to the 1970s. He brought modernity and aesthetic consistency to the company's offerings. He designed lamps with clean lines, often inspired by technology, industry and architecture.
