Pair of table lamps by Mario Bellini for Artemide, 1970s.
In excellent condition, restored by qualified craftsmen with the complete renewal of the lacquering of the metal parts, including the arc and cylinder of the lamp holder.
The original lampshades, now unobtainable as also confirmed by Artemide, have been replaced with precious real sheep parchment leather from the Conceria Artigiana Zampini: a natural material which, thanks to its veins and freckles, gives uniqueness and a warm and enveloping light once turned on.
The base cylinders can be defined at "factory" level and the power buttons replaced with F.lli Castiglioni style models.
No damage, no scratches.
One of the two lamps still has its original socket.
I purchased the two lamps on the same day in '79, in the same store.
They can therefore be defined as "twins" and as such constitute an almost exclusive rarity which increases their value.
They have already been viewed and appreciated by a renowned expert in the sector.
Cost of restoration: 500 Euros
