This exceptional set, composed of a table and four chairs, is a prime example of Italian Rationalist design from the Interwar period (circa 1930s-1940s). Made in Italy, this set features essential, strict lines and a simple, functional structure, which are distinguishing characteristics of Italian Rationalism. Italian materials only were used to create this set, as autarchic policies were in force during the historical period in which the set was created. Indeed, the table and the chairs structure are made in solid oak, while the chairs seats are created in hand-woven wicker. A unique feature is the table's rotating surface, allowing both sides to be used.
€1700 is the cost of the set (table and 4 chairs).
Upon client’s request, the items can be sold individually (the table or the 4 chairs set).
The set is preserved in good condition, but with some signs of the time only.
