Item description

Description: Ancient marbled wooden tabernacle of Roman origin belonging to the second half of the 17th century. The front elevation is characterized by four white marbled wooden columns ending with gilded wooden capitals. In the central part we find a door depicting a chalice surmounted by the monogram "IHS" (from the Greek Iesus Hominum Salvador, "Jesus Savior of men") surrounded by rays, symbol of the Eucharist and the presence of Christ. Under the shelf we find a large gilded wooden carving depicting ears of corn with a basket of flowers. The back and the hat still show the original backdrops of the time. Provenance: 17th century Rome. Measurements: 90x50 H105cm. Condition: Good condition. Document: Certificate of Authenticity.
