Item description

Richly carved walnut bench, made from the top of a large cupboard. The cymatium features a carved cherub and leaves, and the backrest is divided into three sections with gargoyles on the side panels and carved leaves and fruit on the center panel. The front legs are turned and carved. Italy, late 19th century.
