This pair of modernist bedside tables was designed by Vichr & spol and produced by Kovona in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. The design reflects the Bauhaus-influenced modernism common in Central Europe, emphasizing clear geometry, functional construction and restrained use of materials.
Each bedside table features a chromed metal frame paired with oak veneer panels. The chrome surfaces remain well preserved, while the wooden elements show light signs of wear due to age. Overall, the pair features clean lines and balanced proportions in keeping with mid-century functionalist furniture.
