Item description

Wonderful EAMES LOUNGEE Chair SET, in Total Black. Consisting of 717 armchair and 716 pouf in very soft and thick black leather. Refined set by Alivar. Structure Black lacquered curved wood and black leather covering. Design Charles & Ray Eames, 1956. Excellent state of preservation. Used for design trade fairs, for display, like new. It was designed in the early 1950s by the Eames couple and after many years of work, the first models were finally marketed in 1956. The inspiration came from a soft baseball glove in which you can gently wrap yourself and sink. The armchair has a structure made of curved plywood in black lacquered veneer with a padded back and seat covered in soft black leather. Swivel base with 5 spokes in cast aluminium. List price of the set of two items 5900 euros.
