French walnut sideboard
with front and side panels in elm wood
late eighteenth century Louis XVI
The belief is divided into two bodies,
the upper part with large doors
which enclose a large room inside
divided into 4 compartments with 3 shelves;
the lower part with three drawers and two doors
from which you access the lower compartment divided by a shelf in the centre
The grain of the elm panels that decorate all the doors is marked,
the drawers, the band under the cornice and the sides.
The uprights and central band are carved
with small vertical grooves typical of the Louis XVI period
The bottom band and door frames
recall the volute mouldings of the Provençal style.
