Refined set of two folding throne chairs (Jiao-yi) produced in the 1940s. These stunning mid-20th-century reproductions perfectly capture the aesthetics and technical complexity of the "Horseshoe" (horseshoe) thrones typical of Chinese imperial tradition. Crafted from solid wood with a warm dark brown hue and a glossy finish, the thrones feature a solid structure and rich decoration. The reinforcements and plates are made of machined brass, with geometric and floral engravings that stabilize the pivot points and embellish the silhouette. Main Features Carving: The high backrest is decorated with a central openwork panel, depicting traditional auspicious motifs. Folding Mechanism: The slatted seat is designed to fold precisely, combining functionality with the majesty of the shape. Integrated Accessories: Each chair features a matching footrest, with decorated metal inserts, giving the seat the classic grandeur of formal furniture.
