This elegant vintage Coffee Table or Coffee Table is attributed to Maison Roméo Paris and is a classic example of the 1970s Hollywood Regency style. The piece is characterized by a transparent ground glass top, square in shape with the four "Pan coupè" corners, supported by four sculptures of angry elephants in brass laminated in 24 carat gold which rest on trapezoidal bases, in a beautiful black marble with white veins, which, in turn, rest on a solid black lacquered base with a small recessed plinth. The vintage state of conservation is very good, with the inevitable small signs of aging. The lacquering of the base is still beautifully shiny and has no flaws or touch-ups, the marble bases are intact, the 24 carat gold lamination of the elephants is amazing (the photos don't do it justice) while the glass top, in good general condition, has three very small chips, which are almost invisible, on the edges.
Coffee tables of great quality and elegance with a square shape that are usually difficult to find.
