Item description

The central mechanism (the vertically moving cylinder) acts as a counterweight: it allows you to raise or lower the height of the lighting body, which will remain locked at the desired height thanks to the tension of the 4 pulleys. It's a design that perfectly embodies the "Space" aesthetic Age" or the Scandinavian/Italian design of that era, where mechanics became a decorative element visible. The combination of wood (probably teak or rosewood, very common at the time) and metal is a hallmark of the high-quality design of that period. The diffusers are made of blown glass, designed to diffuse a warm, even light. This type of chandelier was produced by several excellent companies, mainly Italian or Nordic (Dutch, such as Raak or Stilnovo). Its minimum height is 135 cm, its maximum height 200 cm and its maximum width 58 cm.
