I am offering for sale an iconic set of 7 DSC 106 model chairs, a true masterpiece of industrial design designed by the famous Giancarlo Piretti in 1965 and produced by the historic Italian company Anonima Castelli.
This specific batch, as amply documented photographically, dates back to the year of production 1988.
Features and Materials:
The DSC 106 chair is famous for its technical innovation and its timeless lines. Seat and backrest are made of fine wood (bent plywood) with a beautiful grain with a warm and bright tone. The supporting structure, solid but visually light, is in die-cast aluminum and tubular steel, finished with the classic black articulated feet that adapt perfectly to any surface.
Authenticity:
The chairs are original and marked. As visible in the photo, they still retain the original factory label under the seat ("CHAIR MANUFACTURE NAMED: D.S.C. 106 LG - YEAR OF PRODUCTION: 1988") and have the "CASTELLI" brand embossed directly on the metal structure, to guarantee absolute authenticity.
Conditions:
Excellent vintage condition. The chairs are structurally perfect and ready for use. Being original furnishings from the 1980s, they show some slight and normal signs of aging on the wooden surfaces (as documented in the photos), which do not compromise their aesthetics but rather certify their age, giving that unique charm and patina that only true modern antiques possess.
