Rare Italian wind vane from the early 1900s made of copper, with three-dimensional structure and original patina. The main subject is a large bird placed in the upper part, modeled at full volume, with spread wings, open beak and a strong sculptural presence.
The lower composition is enriched by small three-dimensional birds arranged on the directional arms, letters of the cardinal points and decorative spheres, creating a complex, dynamic and very scenographic whole. Unlike common flat weather vanes, this piece has a truly plastic and decorative quality, almost like a copper sculpture. The natural patina, in green-blue, brown and dark tones, enhances the age of the material and confers great authenticity. Ideal as a collector's item, architectural decorative element or interior scenographic piece.
Measurements: 55cm wide x 55cm deep x 110cm high.
