Item description

This distinctive pair of vintage high-back swivel armchairs was produced in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s by UP Závody Rousínov. Their tall, enveloping backrests, softly shaped headrest wings and comfortable proportions reflect the relaxed lounge character of mid-century Czechoslovak furniture design. This high-back swivel armchairs are upholstered in a textured fabric with an expressive abstract geometric pattern, giving them a bold retro look typical of the period. The warm-toned upholstery contrasts beautifully with the dark bases and gives the pieces a strong decorative presence. Both armchairs stand on stable metal swivel bases, allowing smooth rotation and practical everyday use. Thanks to their generous seats, high supportive backs and sculptural silhouettes, they work perfectly as reading chairs, lounge chairs or statement accent pieces in a vintage, eclectic or mid-century inspired interior.
