Table lamp in painted porcelain and gilded bronze, France, late 19th - early 20th century
Elegant table lamp of French manufacture, made between the end of the 19th and the first years of the 20th century, composed of an enamelled and hand-painted porcelain body and a chiseled bronze frame.
The structure has an articulated stem with turned and rounded elements in purple/burgundy red porcelain, enriched by oval reserves decorated with polychrome floral bouquet motifs, handmade with delicate chromatic application and golden finishes. The decorations, fully late nineteenth-century in style, recall French production inspired by the Sèvres tradition.
The finely crafted patinated bronze frame includes a shaped base on wavy feet, ornamental collars and a side arm with ignition key decorated with vegetal fretwork; textile cord tie. Electrical system present (to be checked/adjusted according to current regulations).
The lamp is completed by a truncated cone lampshade covered in pleated fabric in shades of red and gold, finished with decorative trimmings along the edges, consistent in style and color with the body of the lamp.
