SILVER Seller in Padova, Italia
An elegant double bed in lacquered and hand-painted wood, crafted in the first half of the 20th century in Venetian style, inspired by Louis XV. The curved headboard, with its wavy, sinuous lines, is embellished with delicate polychrome floral motifs, scrolls, and gilded trim. The carved and gilded central cornice accentuates the elegant and decorative character of the piece. The richly contoured and perforated footboard, decorated with small bouquets of painted flowers and refined gilded elements, is also particularly valuable. The raised scroll-shaped ends and curved legs harmoniously complete the composition. The pleasantly patinated lacquer in ivory and cream tones creates a refined contrast with the floral decorations and gilded finishes, lending the bed a romantic and luminous look. A charming piece, ideal as the centerpiece of an elegant bedroom, villa, historic home, or boutique hotel, but also particularly appealing in a contemporary setting, creating a refined contrast between antique and modern.
