This is an elegant Italian walnut sofa, featuring a contoured, curved frame with high backrests and lateral and central scrolls. It is upholstered in a dark red damask fabric with a gold/ochre floral pattern, secured with metal studs. A decorative scroll carving enriches the lower front edge. The style dates back to the early 19th century, likely between 1820 and 1850, with Biedermeier or Neoclassical/Empire influences.
