Item description

An extraordinary pendant lamp produced by Stilnovo in the 1950s, characterised by an elegant polished brass structure with a forest green finish and white opaline glass diffusers. Consisting of six horizontal arms arranged on two levels to create twelve, culminating in frosted glass spheres, this model perfectly embodies the balance of functionalism and decorativism typical of mid-century Italian design. The architectural proportions and refined use of materials give the piece a sculptural and sophisticated character, ideal for elegant and representative settings. The opaline glass spheres are all original and in perfect condition. Excellent vintage condition and in perfect working order. Founded in Milan in 1946 by Bruno Gatta, Stilnovo has been one of the most influential Italian companies in the history of lighting design. Since its inception, Stilnovo has stood out for its ability to combine modern aesthetics and technical innovation, becoming a symbol of manufacturing excellence in post-war Italy. During the 1950s and 1960s, the company collaborated with some of Italy's most important architects and designers - including Gino Sarfatti, Angelo Gaiani, and Joe Colombo - helping to define the stylistic language of Italian modernism. Today, Stilnovo pieces are highly sought-after collectors' items for their construction quality and timeless formal cleanliness.
