Refined extensible arc lamp by Goffredo Reggiani for the Reggiani company of the same name, made in Italy in the 1970s. The brushed metal frame grafts onto a solid white marble base that acts as a counterweight, while the swiveling hemispherical dome diffuses soft, direct light. The elegant play of adjustable metal arches reflects the formal and technological research typical of Italian design of the period. The extendable arm with compass arches, has a variable size that reaches, at maximum extension, about 115 cm. Goffredo Reggiani, founder of the company of the same name in Seregno, was among the protagonists of the Space Age season, combining functionality and light experimentation. Reggiani luminaires are now considered icons of Italian designer design, prized for their construction quality and timeless aesthetic solutions.
