This bed is crafted from hand-cast brass (or bronze). The metal has a warm, rich golden hue. The aesthetic is typical of Italian Midcentury Modern, with strong Brutalist and sculptural influences in the treatment of the metal. The headboard is a rectangular panel mounted on two thin vertical uprights topped with a spherical brass knob. The true focal point is the bas-relief geometric motif at the center of the panel, composed of a repetition of square modules. Within these squares is a stylized spiral (or "snail") in relief. These spiral elements are interconnected, creating a complex and dynamic visual texture.
