French coffee table from the early 20th century. Parisian furniture in carved, lacquered and gilded wood of exceptional quality by Sormani. Louis XVI style dressing table with finely hand-painted wooden top with floral decorations and magnificent putto/cupid in the central medallion (see photo). Lower structure with columns adorned with sculpted, chiseled and gilded wooden capitals (see photo). Rare piece of furniture, finished from the center, complete with original working key. The opening of the drawer with partial sliding of the top is particular and offers two side compartments inside with a door and a central mirror that can be positioned at various angles (see photo).
Furniture signed on the internal lock Sormani Paris 134 Boulevard Haussmann (see photo) historic home of the Maison Sormani boutique from 1914 until its final closure in 1934. Coffee table created to be placed in a bedroom or living room, of excellent proportions and great taste, for antique dealers and collectors. Structurally sound and solid, it shows small signs of aging (see photos). In beautiful patina, overall in good condition.
