SILVER Seller in Pesaro-Urbino, Italy
This artwork by Michele Astolfi, created in Bologna in the early 2000s, is part of an exclusive series of three large butterflies, each featuring a different color scheme: green, blue, and red. This listing refers exclusively to the green butterfly. A textured work created with a mixed media technique, featuring applications of mirrored glass, crystals, glass paste elements, and decorative materials, individually assembled to create a three-dimensional surface rich in reflections and light variations. Signed "Michael" at the bottom right and presented in its original aluminum frame. A work with a strong visual impact, in which contemporary art, decoration, and craftsmanship blend in a sophisticated language, particularly suited to refined interiors and the world of luxury design. The green butterfly is one of three works from the original series, along with the blue and red versions. The photographs of the three works together are included solely to document the complete series; this listing is for a single work.
